Dear BID members and friends,

We are thrilled with the success of our letter writing campaign and are grateful to those of you who took the time (approximately one hour per 20 letters) to participate! We have together written over 1,500 and have proudly participated in a grassroots effort to take back the Senate! 

​

We are now ready to launch our next initiative using the website postcardstoswingstates.com, a partnership between Indivisible Chicago Alliance and the Progressive Turnout Project. 

​

We are offering three options to our members:
 

• Attend an outdoor card signing event Wednesday, September 2nd from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peace Plaza outside the Tenafly McCandless Room; rain date is Wednesday September 9th. Please use the links above to register. Social distancing, face mask and hand sanitizing guidelines will be strictly adhered to. There will be limited seating for each of the two one hour time slots with time allocated to prepare and clean between sessions. Only those who register above will be permitted to participate so RSVP by August 30th. We will confirm attendance by email, so please provide your email  when you sign up. 

• Pick up cards at the event for you, friends and family members to write and mail independently. Please note you will have full responsibility for completing and mailing.

• Or, go to postcardstoswingstates.com, click "sign up today", choose a state and write a message to each. The cards will be delivered to your home for you to complete, stamp and mail personally. Please let us know if you decide to do this by completing the Response Card, in the next column.

In keeping with our campaign ADOPT A VOTER- TAKE BACK THE SENATE, we have selected four swing states: Kansas, North Carolina, Iowa and Arizona. These states will help us win the Senate while providing down ballot support to other Democratic candidates including Biden. We will also have cards for Pennsylvania for those interested in helping the State of Pennsylvania go blue as well.
 

We hope that you will join us September 2nd with other community activists and friends outside the McCandless Room. It should be fun and provide a measure of community solidarity.

Once we finished this campaign, we'll begin a phone campaign to

swing states, including Florida, the important state to win!
